Call Numbers
Call numbers are shelf numbers for library materials. For example:

Call numbers with a location prefix are shelved at the following locations:
- Dictionary Stand = Located at the dedicated dictionary stand in the Library
- [LBK] = English and Chinese Large Books are inter-shelved together in the Large Book Collection (1/F for class A-N, 3/F for class P-Z)
- Newspaper rack = Located next to the Serials Collection (2/F)
- [REF] = Reference Collection (1/F)
- [RES3H] = Reserve Collection (1/F) (Located in the Circulation Counter or 1/F Reading Room)
- [RES2D] = Reserve Collection (1/F) (Located in the Circulation Counter or 1/F Reading Room)
- [RES7D] = Reserve Collection (1/F) (Located in the Circulation Counter or 1/F Reading Room)
- [SER] = Serials Collection (2/F)
- [AVM] = Audio Visual Materials (MLLC Multimedia Language and Learning Centre) (2/F)
