TCP/IP is the protocol used in Internet for communication. Therefore you must install it on your Notebook Computer before using the Internet.

For Window XP Users:

The program "WINIPCFG" is no longer exists in Windows2000/XP. Instead, you can check the Mac address of you network adapter in command mode.

1. Click the “Start” button, and then select “Control Panel”.
2. In Control Panel, click “Network and Internet Connections,
3. And then, click “Network Connection”
4. Select your network adopter to connect to Internet, and double click it.
5. Click “Properties”
6. Highlight “TCP/IP” Protocol and click “Properties”
7. In “Internal Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties”, select “General” Tab.  And then configuration as the figure shown
