  • Updates on the New Library System - New 1-Search

    Dear Library Users,
     
    LU and all the other UGC libraries are moving together to a new shared library system. The brand new 1-Search will go live in the afternoon of 17 July 2017.  Here are some important dates for you to notice and take action before the launch of the new system.

  • Library Opening Hours During the Summer Period

    Please be informed that the Library opening hours for Summer Period will be scheduled as follows:

  • New Library System - New 1-Search revised release schedule

    Dear all,

     
    The new release schedule of the new 1-Search, a new JULAC (Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee) Integrated Library System (ILS) shared by the 8 UGC (University Grants Committee) funded HK university libraries system will be in the mid of July 2017.   The change of schedule is due to the underestimated complexity of the project has required additional testing to ensure a successful implementation.

    The new key important dates are:

  • EZProxy Maintenance from 8:00am to 8:45am on 30th June 2017

    Dear All,

     

    Due to the maintenance of the authentication server for Library eResources, the access to Library online databases and eResources via EZProxy will be temporarily unavailable 8:00am to 8:45am on 30th June 2017 (Friday).

    During the maintenance period, please use SSL VPN to access Library online databases and eResources remotely. For instruction about the setup of SSL VPN, please refer to the following link: http://www.ln.edu.hk/itsc/network/vpn.

     

  • Temporary suspension of borrowing with JULAC Card

    Dear all,

    As part of the new Shared Integrated Library System project for the eight UGC-funded institutions. Please note that:

    • For all JULAC Library Card holder:
    • The last day of returning items will be 15 June 2017 (Thursday)

  • Migration to new Library System and HKALL book requesting

    As part of the new Shared Integrated Library System project for the eight UGC-funded institutions, the service of Hong Kong Academic Library Link (HKALL) will be temporarily cut off in two stages to prepare for the system changeover from early June to early July 2017.  Please note that:
     
    a)      The last day of making HKALL requests will be 5 June 2017 (Monday)
    b)      The due day of returning HKALL items will be 15 June 2017 (Thursday)

  • Online Library Services temporarily unavailable during the PITC on 22nd and 23rd April 2017
