Online Databases

The Library provides access to several hundred online databases covering different subject areas. Due to licensing restrictions, most of our databases are available to current Lingnan students and staff ONLY. Eligible users could access these databases in-campus or off-campus (with Lingnan Account login, Lingnan University's VPN, or bookmarklet). A list of databases can be found at:

Please be reminded that all the Library subscribed resources are protected by Copyright Law, excessive downloading is strictly prohibited.

Database Workstations (Library-Use-Only)

Due to license restrictions, some online databases are only available on the workstations located at Computer Room 2 (1/F Zone B, Library). Please reserve the workstations via Library Rooms/Facilities Booking System to ensure you have the priority to use the workstations.

Booking Rules:

Please make the booking through the Library Rooms/Facilities Booking System.

Eligible Users:	Staff and Student
Quota:	2 sessions per day(maximum 1 hour per session) 4 sessions per week 20 sessions per month Reset on Sunday
Bookings are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Concurrent bookings of 2 Database Workstations are NOT allowed. Bookings are not transferable. The workstation is reserved for those who booked it only. Users with booking have the priority to use the workstations. No-show within the first 15 minutes will count as releasing the space for other users. Please reinstate everything within the space after use. Users are responsible for any loss and damage to the equipment used. The Library reserves the right to cancel any booking without prior notice. Violation of the Library Regulations will result in the suspension of Library privileges including access to facilities and resources, or disciplinary action. Library Regulations are subject to change without prior notice.
