As revision week and examinations are approaching, the Library anticipates a high demand for study areas in the coming weeks. We would like to update you about our facilities and services:

1. Limited Access Arrangement for JULAC Student Card Holders (24 April - 15 May 2023)

Library always prioritizes the needs of our staff and students. During the above-mentioned period, we will limit the entry of JULAC Student Card Holders from other universities. We hope to alleviate the demand for study areas during the anticipated period of high usage of Lingnan users.

2. Always Be Considerate: NO Occupation of Seats with Personal Belongings and Other Items

Have you experienced the following situation when you are looking for seats in the Library?

We would like to gently remind users occupation of seats by personal belongings and other items are strictly regulated. The Library is not responsible for the safe custody of any personal items left in the facility. Library staff and security guards will tighten the measures to enforce fair access to the facilities by removing unattended items in order to release the study area to other users.

3. Overnight Access to Postgraduate Research Carrels and the New Computer Room 2

To facilitate postgraduates' and staff’s studies during the revision week and examinations period, the Postgraduate Research Carrels will provide overnight access from 24 April to 15 May 2023. Eligible users can book via the Rooms / Facilities Booking System, while user quotas still apply.

As a reminder, from early March, the Library provides more study space, PCs, and Database Workstations in the Overnight Access area. For details, please refer to the previous Library Notice at Extension of Overnight Access Area on Library 1/F.

4. Examination Database and Library Collections

Examination Database is a collection of electronic copies of the examination papers of Undergraduate (UG) courses. Please do make good use of these resources and other Library collections to prepare for your examinations. (Please note some of the papers may be withheld at the request of lecturers of the courses or may not be offered in particular academic term/year.)

5. Library Opening Hours

Please note the Library Opening Hours during the upcoming holiday. When the Library is closed, the Late Reading Room and Computer Rooms 1 & 2 in the Overnight Access area will remain open.
