The Library is delighted to announce the launch of a new Rooms / Facilities Booking System today with a more user-friendly interface to make bookings on Library’s Individual Study Rooms, Group Study Rooms and other facilities including Microfilm Workstation, Database Workstations and Special Educational Needs (SEN) Equipment.
What’s more? One of the highlighted features is the integration of the system with the card readers outside the rooms. Users can tap their own LU Cards to claim the rooms. For Group Study Rooms, 2 LU Cards will be required, and quota will be charged to both users.
To access the new system, you can simply click “Rooms / Facilities Booking” on our Library webpage. You can get access to the system and User Manual at https://www.library.ln.edu.hk/en/space/place/booking. No VPN is needed for booking.
To ensure equitable access of the study rooms and other facilities, especially during assignment submission and examination periods where they are in high demand, daily and weekly quota have been revised.

You are warmly reminded to cancel your booking if you do not need the room / facility anymore. The room / facility will be released to others if the user does not show up after 15 minutes. Also, no-show without making any cancellation will count against the quota limit.
In view of the relaxation of the social distancing restriction, the maximum capacity of our Group Study Rooms has been reviewed based on the size of the rooms. Please observe the maximum room capacity as specified in the booking system.
