Objective
To explain the concepts of journal ranking and related journal impact factors as a tool to evaluate the academic publications.
Journal ranking is a set of measurements to evaluate an academic journal's impact and quality relative to other journals in the same academic field. It is an important indicator for researchers to select which journal they will submit their manuscript to.
Upon completion of the workshop, students will be able to:
- Understand different journal metrics and how to locate them; and
- Learn the journal ranking and journal impact factors on their academic research
