With AI tools, it is easy for us to find information from diverse sources to support our new ideas. However, facts and possibilities are sometimes combined and hard to distinguish. We have to review and fact-check the sources and the content that Generative AI tools provide with great care. How do you know what to trust? By joining this workshop, you will be able to:

1. Understand the CRAAP Test (Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, Purpose) to practise how to verify sources and to recognise common signs of fake news, misleading data, etc.

2. Use Generative AI tools strategically to help cross-check the information

3. Develop the fact-checking skills and the habit to evaluate information before use in your academic work and daily life
