Consensus on universal suffrage in 2007 (20 Feb 2005)

<p>The Secretary for Constitutional Affairs said earlier this week that he hoped there would be a consensus soon on the method for choosing the next chief executive on 2007. Stephen Lam said the current arrangements might be maintained if no consensus emerged. Should the Democratic camp give up the insistence on universal suffrage in 2007 and 2008? Wouldn&#39;t it be better to be practical and work to improve the current electoral systems? Discusses these issues with Allen Lee (political commentator) and Margaret Ng (legislator)</p>
