A native of Yunnan, Li Han-zhong joined the Beijing Military Affiliated Song and Dance Troupe at the age of 11. Thus, his life as a dancer began. He graduated with a bachelor degree at the Beijing Dance Academy (Chinese Ethnic Dance) in 1991. Later, he joined the Guangdong Modern Dance Company as a dancer. He toured with the Company to the United States, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Korea, Singapore, and the Philippines. It was during his stint with the Guangdong Modern Dance Company that his interest and talent in choreography emerged. In 1996, he received the Asian Cultural Council Scholarship to study at the American Dance Festival. Li has been invited by many international dance institutions to stage new works, including the Center for the Performance Arts, Adelaide (1998 and 2000), the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, Taiwan (1999), and the American Dance Festival ’ s International Choreographers Showcase (1999). He joined the Beijing Modern Dance Company as the Deputy Artistic Director in March 1999. In September 2005, he left the Beijing Modern Dance Company and set up the Beijing LDTX Modern Dance Company.Producer: Tse Ka-ho
