[Global climate change and greenhouse emissions] (25 Feb 2007)

Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

The United Nation's report recently said that global warming is real, it is happening fast and we humans are to blame. But is it too late to stop climate change? Today we have Liam Salter (the head of climate change programme of WWF Hong Kong) and Yeung King-kay (the senior scientific officer of Hong Kong Observatory) to discuss the following issues. What we should do to slow down global warming? Why there is not much politicians do with this topic? Do we still do climate change on a voluntary basic or must governments have mandatory rules saying we must reduce the emission of greenhouse gases within a period of time? What will global warming do to Hong Kong and how will it change our life?
