A fashion extravaganza kicked off this week with Hong Kong hosting a major international gathering. The Hong Kong Fashion Week showcases local and international talent and gives young designers a chance to make their name. With the school holidays starting, there's a feature on a summer arts carnival geared towards the three to seven-year-old age group. From Vancouver comes Scrap Arts Music, an ensemble which uses discarded household and industrial items to fashion its formidable percussion instruments. Tonight's programme concludes with the highlights of a concert held to mark the 30th anniversaries of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and RTHK's Radio 4.
