India cracking down the problem of sexual harassment ; Racing against time for a robust defence against bird flu (17 Feb 2004)

With urbanization, sexual harassment, or locally known as "Eve-teasing", is increasing in Delhi, India. The root of the problem is that sophisticated urban women, asserting their independence, are in conflict with the ultra-conservative attitude from the surrounding countryside. But with the help of the undercover police, women are fighting back. Hong Kong has developed the technology and expertise in combating deadly animal-borne viruses after being hit by epidemics in recent years. It has become a model for Asian countries. Looks at the infrastructure Hong Kong is building to put itself at the forefront of disease control in Asia.
