Discusses problems of hygiene, litter and pollution in Hong Kong. Rita Lau (Director, Food and Environmental Hygiene Department) explains how difficult it is to keep Hong Kong clean because of the prevalence of habits such as littering, spitting and failing to flush public toilets. Sarah Wu (Deputy Director, Food and Environmental Hygiene Department) says that those who litter should be fined and penalised more heavily. Fred Li Wah-ming (Legislator) and Christine Loh (Legislator) point out the need for more education on environmental hygiene through renewed government campaigns and heavier fines to solve the problem.
