Looking Back on 2006 (29 Dec 2006)

Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

For our last show of 2006 we look back on the past twelve months. In part one it's local issues that get our attention, as we examine what's been going on in the media, and at the Hong Kong government's track record over the year. The administration ends 2006 with a low public approval rating, with the public apparently less than happy with its handling of such local issues as the Star Ferry, and cross-border issues such as food safety and air pollution. In part two, three international correspondents talk to us on the international issues of 2006. They are Philip Bowring, columnist for the International Herald Tribune, Ilia Maria Sala of "Il Diario", and Joe Kainz of Star News Asia.
