Discusses the problem of hair loss which is often hereditary and can also be caused by stress and hormonal (dihydrotestosterone (DHT)) imbalance. The program talks about the benefits and unwanted side-effects of various treatments including Finasteride which decreases the body's production of DHT, but may decrease sex drive. Joyce You (Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy, The Chinese University of Hong Kong) says that Minoxidil helps with hair growth, but often in unwanted places. Other dermatologists talk about potential causes for hair loss such as frequent hair colouring and treatments. Laser treatment of baldness is also introduced.
