For two consecutive years, Hong Kong’s ranking in Skytrax’s list of the world’s best airports has dropped. Last year it came fourth. This year, fifth. Singapore’s Changi Airport has been in the number one spot for four years in a row. Green groups, lawmakers and government are still wrestling over the development of a possible third runway at Chek Lap Kok., but the more pressing issue is whether the airport’s new air traffic control system is safe. With us in the studio is legislator Jeremy Tam. On Thursday in a Thanksgiving holiday video, US President-Elect Donald Trump acknowledged the presidential race had been “long and bruising” and said it was time to heal divisions, but added that “tensions just don’t heal overnight”. The Trump win, like the Brexit in Britain has revealed a wide political divide between city and country, as Liz Yuen reports from the United States.
