The Philippines is known for its marine life, one of which is the dugong or sea cow. Looks at how Rowan Byrne (Marine Biologist) searches for dugongs in Hinatuan Bay in an effort to save and protect them. Over 50% of teachers who joined the education sector after 2001 failed the English language benchmark test. Teachers attributed this to unfamiliarity with the test format rather than language skill. But Susanna Cheung Sau-man (Principle Assistant Secretary, Manpower and Education Bureau) says the test is not demanding, as it is a test for professionals and the government has been providing training for English teachers.
