Talks about Hong Kong's chicken flu problem. Lily Yam Kwan Pui-ying (Secretary for Food and Hygiene) and Kwan Wing-kin (New Territories Chicken Breeders Association) talk about what the government's efforts to get rid of the virus and to prevent the virus from appearing again. John Tam (Department of Microbiology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong) talks about the causes of the disease and the potential for the disease to infect human beings. The introduction of centralized slaughtering is being debated, but chicken vendors and some consumers who prefer freshly slaughtered chickens are opposed to such a move.
