About a year ago the government announced plan for transport and facilities for Lantau Island. Many people has voiced deep concern about the project's possible impact on resident's life and the island's ecology. After the public consultation exercise, the government claims that majority of the public support the proposed plan and a revised plan will be released in next year. The government intends to turning Lantau into Hong Kong's transport and tourism hub. But why Lantau? What has installed for the island's residents?
