Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

The Director of Audit (DOA) says the English School Foundation (ESF) has wasted large amount of taxpayers' money. Felice Lieh Mak (Chair, ESF) says she invited DOA to conduct the review which produced no new surprise. It does not affect the quality of education ESF provides. She says government subsidizes less than 50% of ESF operating cost which if eliminated school fees will be high. Sarah Rigby (Chair, Joint Council of Parent Teacher Association) says ESF schools are open to all, race does not play a role in its enrolment. ESF is not what it stood for before the handover.
