Protecting Hong Kong's "core values" -- including freedom of speech (30 Jul 2004)

Tonight's programme reports on a campaign by a group of academics to protect the "core values" of the territory, which they fear are being eroded. Among the often-cited "pillars" of Hong Kong is freedom of the media, which has also come under the spotlight this week with raids on newspaper offices by the ICAC, and Commercial Radio's decision to part company with its controversial talk show host Albert Cheng.
