Printer-friendlyPrinter-friendly

Talks about the history of looking after abandoned children and babies in Hong Kong. Before the social movement in 1967, the society did not pay much attention to the problems of abandoned children and the work of looking after these children was left largely to Christian churches and volunteer organizations. The Tung Wah Hospital began to provide free schooling for needy children, solving education problems, while other organizations have been taking care of other needs of the children. The program also talks about the contributions made by Po Leung Kuk and the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong.
