Who had abandoned Cantonese pop songs? Why low-brow Cantonese songs were far more pupular than high-brow ones in the 1950s. Were there truly original Cantonese pop songs? In fact, there were! There were songs about the young playing rock music. Do you believe the Nanyang region was closely related to Cantonese pop songs in the 1950s? If you revisit the pop songs of the time, you will understand why it is possible to work out the lyric before composing the melody.
