Library Notice

The Library offers “Office Delivery Service” to deliver requested books directly to the General Offices of staff members within the main campus.

How to Request

By using the Request function in 1-Search and selecting Office Delivery Service as the Pickup location, the requested materials will be checked out and delivered to the General Office you are affiliated with, free of charge.

Delivery Schedule

Deliveries are processed only on weekdays (except Special Opening / Closing).

Status and Owned by Delivery Timeframe
  • Lingnan University Library Books with Available Status
If the request is made before noon and can be found on shelve, the delivery will be after 2 p.m. on the same date of the request. Otherwise, it will be handled on the next service day.
  • Lingnan University Library Books Checkout by other users, or other statuses
  • Books requested via HKALL and Partners
The delivery will be made on the next service day after the Library receives the item.

The book will be checked out to your account once processed, and you will receive an auto-email notification (Lingnan University Library Office Delivery Notification) via your email address.

Conditions of the Delivery Service

  • The requested books will be sent to the General Office of your affiliated unit. No change of delivery address is allowed.
  • During the delivery, once the acknowledgement slip is signed and confirmed by the handling staff, the requestor assume full responsibility for the books concerned.
  • Lost, damaged, or mutilated books will incur charges and replacement fees.
  • If the General Office refuses or fails to process the delivery, the books will be shipped back to the Library, and you will be notified to pickup in person.
