Library Notice

The Course Reserves service allows teaching staff to request that essential course-related items, such as books and AV materials available in the library collections, be placed in the Course Reserves.

With a short checkout period (2 or 7 days), the circulation of physical items is expedited, allowing more students to easy access course-related resources.

Locate Course Reserves
  • You can search the Course Reserves via 1-Search or Course Readings @ Library; by the Course Code or Course Name.  
  • The Course Reserves physical books /AV materials are housed in the Course Reserves area at 1/F.
  • Links to relevant e-resources may also included

Course Reserves Quota

Only LU staff and students are eligible to check out Course Reserves. Please refer to checkout privileges for details.

Making the Request by Teaching Staff

All teaching staff and course instructors can place library materials in the Course Reserves by making requests to the Library using this Online Form. The available Checkout period are 2 or 7 days.

The Library will process your request for Course Reserves within 7 working days. For those materials not available in the Library, a longer processing time may be needed. During peak seasons, processing times may increase. To ensure efficient processing, please provide detailed and comprehensive information in your request.

Period of Placing Materials in Course Reserves

Reserved library materials will only be placed in the Course Reserves during the requested academic term. Upon expiry, they will be removed from the Course Reserves. You may make an advanced request via e-mail at library@ln.edu.hk to extend the period of placing materials in the Course Reserves.
